About AI Words
A small, independent project that puts AI's text output next to ours.
Why this exists
Every few months a company announces another enormous token number, and each one is hard to picture on its own. Plotted together and converted to words, they tell a clear story: in under four years, machine-generated text went from a novelty to a volume comparable to everything humans say and write.
AI Words keeps that picture in one place, sourced and up to date, so anyone can check the numbers instead of trusting a headline.
Who runs it
AI Words is built and maintained by Siddhant Dubey, a software engineer in Bangalore who works on distributed systems and infrastructure. It is not affiliated with Google, OpenAI, OpenRouter or any other company whose figures appear here.
